RMS Entrance Exam Pattern 2023
The RMS Common Entrance Test (CET) is an OMR-based exam designed to
assess students’ knowledge. The syllabus for the test is based on the Class V
level for admission into Class VI and the Class VIII level for admission into Class
IX.
Class VI Exam Pattern
The exam for Class VI admission is divided into four sections:
The total exam has 180 questions and is worth 200 marks. To qualify, candidates need at least 35% in English and 40% in Mathematics, General
Knowledge, and the Intelligence Test.
English: 50 marks (Qualifying test only; marks not counted in the merit list)
Intelligence Test: 50 marks
Mathematics: 50 marks
General Knowledge & Current Affairs: 50 marks
Class IX Exam Pattern
Paper 1:
o English: 50 marks
o Hindi: 20 marks
o Social Science: 30 marks
Paper 2:
o Mathematics: 50 marks
o Science: 50 marks

RMS INTERVIEW PATTERN 2025
Candidates who pass the written exam and are shortlisted will be invited for an
interview at one of the Rashtriya Military Schools. The interview scores are
then combined with the written test scores to determine the final merit list.
Eligibility Criteria for Sainik School Exam 2024-25:
For Class VI:
Boys and girls aged between 10 and 12 years as of March 31 of the year they join the school. Applicants must have either passed or be currently studying in Class V at a recognized school at the time of applying for the entrance exam.
For Class IX:
Only boys aged between 13 and 15 years as of March 31 of the year they join the school.
Applicants must have either passed or be currently studying in Class VIII at a recognized school.
